Wind turbines for electric buses

Buses and other commercial vehicles with large lateral surfaces are exposed to the wind by their nature and function.

The patented wind generators for buses capture the energy of the wind hitting the bus and transform it into electrical energy, which is stored in the batteries on board the bus.

The wind bus can have only electric or hybrid traction (electric motor and internal combustion engine)

The space occupied by the wind generators, integrated inside the wind bus, does not exceed 2 cubic meters and therefore does not reduce the useful space inside the bus to a significant extent.

For example, an electro-wind bus, with an internal volume of approximately 250 cubic m, undergoes a reduction in internal space, less than 1%, due to the presence of wind rotors, and this reduction concerns exclusively the holds of the wind-powered bus, without interfering with the passenger compartment.

The production of electricity occurs both when the coach with wind generator is moving and when it is parked, including any overnight stop.

The electrical energy produced by the wind generators integrated into the electric bus does not derive, in any way, from the movement of the electric bus and therefore never derives, not even indirectly, from the consumption of any other energy other than that of the wind real (not apparent).

Compared to an electric bus of the same size, the electric-wind bus consumes less electricity from the electricity distribution network.
